Inclusive Online Spaces Webinar
This webinar was a multi-week team effort with Abby Kerr, Laura Rose Forman, and Aimee Minard. My roles included leadership in guiding the scope and content of the webinar, research, and quality control. I also created a promotional Spark Page for the webinar and presented a portion of the content.
Virtual Reality Website
The virtual reality Wix site was a team effort with Daryl Boyd and Jon Cano. Over a multi-week project, my primary role was to research the use of VR in higher education contexts and to write the majority of the copy to achieve a consistent voice in the project.
Open Educational Resources and Accessibility
The OER Accessibility curation project is a collection of annotated research sources collected to respond to a particular knowledge and skills gap related to identifying and utilizing multiple definitions of the term “accessible” in the open educational resource (OER) conversation. We need to be conscious of how we distinguish between the term “accessible” when referring to compatibility with assistive technology such as screen readers.
Writing Center Resource Page
The Red Rocks Community College Writing Center resource page was a practical research project responding to an identified gap in digital services offered to learners who were already spending time on the Writing Center’s website in order to schedule consultation appointments. The effort involved a collaboration with the Writing Center director as well as a colleague who contributed newsletter content.
Presenting through Camtasia
When I was to present in absentia at a campus professional development event, I leveraged my skills in Camtasia to provide a video presentation about the role of eLearning in supporting OER accessibility on campus. This presentation was succinct due to a great deal of forethought and planning. By using Camtasia, I was able to offer a presentation that integrated personal appearances seamlessly with slides and screencast.
